Cinnaminson Christmas Tree Lighting Postponed

This Friday is looking to be a wet Christmas, not a white one.

Mother Nature has pulled a bah humbug and ordered up a major dose of rain for Friday night, forcing the township to postpone its annual Christmas tree lighting.

The event, originally scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Friday at Wood Park, has been pushed back to next Friday, Dec. 13, also at 6:30.

In addition to the ceremonial tree lighting, the event will also feature the arrival of Santa (and pictures with Mr. Claus, courtesy of Madison Mae Photography), horse-drawn carriage rides, toy train rides and music, plus hot chocolate and cookies.

This Friday's forecast calls for a 90 percent chance of rain during the day, and a 100 percent chance in the evening, with a low of 37 at night.

Nonetheless, Cinnaminson is host to some other holiday-themed festivities you can enjoy this week.
