Community Update

IF ANYONE HAS FRIENDS/RELATIVES WITH PETS IN PA EXPERIENCING A POWER OUTAGE… PET-FRIENDLY SHELTERS ARE OPEN!!! 

Thank you to the Director of CART, Elaine Sullivan, for making CART members aware of the following info to share with pet families:

Due to the widespread power outages resulting from the ice storm, PA has opened up several pet-friendly warming centers/shelters.
Because it will likely take days to restore all power, there's a good chance that the warming centers/shelters will stay open to accommodate those folks/pets for the duration.

And as a reminder, the American Red Cross now has a Pet First Aid/Emergency app. It includes info. on pet-friendly hotels, kennels, vet clinics, etc. If you have friends/family affected by the outages, you might want to share that info.
