Hello, Patch Pet Lovers!
Whether you're a kitty lover, and, even more importantly, if you're not, it's a good idea to familiarize yourself with the basics of what a kitty is telling you by way of their body language.
May sound silly, but how do you think kitties communicate? Sure, they make happy sounds such as purring; tell you, I'm hungry, with a special meow; even show displeasure by a hiss or a growl. Some cats, when very upset or feeling threatened, actually make a loud spitting sound! I've heard that only once... and was able to capture it on video. I will share that in another post.
The position of a cat's ears, their body, as well as their eyes, tell us quite a bit about how they are feeling, and I'll show images for those in a future post, also... but most significant is their tail.
