How Your Dying Christmas Tree Can Become a "TREE OF LIFE"…

Hello, Patch Pet Lovers!

It's that time again, for some… not quite yet for all, but how do you dispose of your Christmas tree once you remove all the ornaments and pack up the holiday decorations?  Sure, you can drag it to the curb, throw it in a dumpster, or leave it in a parking lot for kids to light on fire… but, if you really want to know the best thing to do with your tree… read how Capt, of the NJ SPCA, creates a "Tree of Life" with his each year!!!

I'd advise the tree be tethered, to avoid it from falling, if you have children, pets, or any individuals access your property.

To All: Tree of Life.............Every year when the Christmas holiday comes to an end we place our tree in the backyard. Best to lean it against another tree and it will soon be covered with suet balls of birdseed and we also throw a few cups of birdseed on and around the tree everyday. Hundreds of birds, squirrels and other small animals feed and get water here every week. The tree if leaning also provides shelter during storms for many different animals. Free roaming cats also can be provided with shelter from a storm by the tree. Instead of putting your trees out for collection why not put it out in your backyard and provide food and shelter for animals during the harsh winter months. The Tree of Life is a great gathering point for so many animals during the winter months..............Capt
