Cinnaminson Firefighter Dies

Chris Ricciuti, a lifelong Cinnaminson resident, passed away last week at the age of 51.

Christopher L. (Chris) Ricciuti, a lifelong Cinnaminson resident and an active member of the Cinnaminson Fire Department, passed away suddenly at the age of 51 on Friday, May 3.

Chris worked for his father’s company, Art Guild Inc., for 34 years as a purchasing agent. He liked to golf, fish, go off-roading in the pines, and especially loved showing and driving his Corvette. Chris was past president of Cinnaminson Fire Department, past president of St. Charles Borromeo Holy Name Society, current treasurer of the Classic Corvette Club, and a proud member of Riverton Country Club.

He was the son of the late John and Jane Ricciuti. Chris is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Peggy (nee Sulock) Ricciuti; his beloved daughter and son-in-law, Nicole and Jim Vassallo; and his son and best buddy, C.J. Ricciuti. He is also survived by his only grandson and pride and joy, Tony Vassallo, son-in-law of Joe and Karen Sulock, as well as a number of devoted brothers- and sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces and nephews. He was godfather to Vinnie Bagnato, Francesca Sulock and Frank Pisa. He is also survived by many, many devoted and loving friends. Chris will be greatly missed by his beloved dogs, Molly and Lola Jane, and granddog Phoebe.

A mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 10, at Sacred Heart Church, Fourth Street and Linden Avenue, Riverton. Entombment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and visitation with his family from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the Mark C. Tilghman Funeral Home, 38 N. Forklanding Road, Maple Shade. Those wishing to attend should meet directly at the church Friday morning for the mass.
