Obituary: Althea Margaret Hendricks (nee Sleeper)

Services will be held in Palmyra on April 20.

Althea Margaret Hendricks (nee Sleeper), formerly of Cinnaminson, New Jersey and recently Winter Springs Florida, entered into rest April 16, 2012.

A resident of Cinnaminson, New Jersey for 56 years, Althea was predeceased by her loving husband Philip Edward Hendricks, Sr. to whom she was married for over 44 years. Also predeceased by her parents Martha and Oscar Sleeper and her brother Robert Sleeper. 

Althea was a loving mother and grandmother of: daughter Phyllis E. Hendricks, Orlando FL; son Philip E. Hendricks, Jr. and wife Maddy Weisz, Fort Collins, CO; son Alan Hendricks, Winter Springs, FL.; grandson Paulie A. Marguglio Jr., FL; grandson Dane L. Marguglio. FL; great-grandson Dane L. Marguglio Jr., FL; sister Dorothy Bowers, Lake City, FL; sister-in-law Flossie Sleeper, Audubon N.J; Also survived by many nieces and nephews and a host of friends throughout the country.

She was a member of Epworth Methodist Church, Palmyra, N.J. since November 19, 1950. A member of Covenant Chapter No. 108 Eastern Star, Cinnaminson N.J. since November 13, 1956.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Althea’s Life Celebration Friday, April 20, starting 9 a.m. at Epworth United Methodist Church 501 Morgan Ave., Palmyra, N.J. Her Funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. Interment Harleigh Cemetery, Camden N.J.
