Retired Cinnaminson Police Sergeant Dies

Raymond H. Dion, 86, died in Bradenton, FL, last month

Raymond H. Dion, a retired Cinnaminson Police sergeant, died at the age of 86 on Nov. 21 in Bradenton, FL.

Dion, a Camden native, moved to Bradenton in 1985 after living in Cinnaminson for many years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during World War II.

Dion was predeceased by his wife, Eleanor, and his daughter, Janice. He is survived by his daughters, Marlene (Bruce) McGarvey, of Moorestown; Denise (Dave) Cooper, of Sarasota, FL; and Nancy (Tom) Ekin, of Port St. Lucie, FL; grandchildren, Garry, Raymond, Tara, Dion, Ellie and Alexis; and four great grandchildren.

A memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at Brown & Sons Funeral Homes and Crematory, 26th Street Chapel, 5624 26th St. West, Bradenton, FL. Memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 14010 Roosevelt Blvd., Suite 709, Clearwater, FL 33762-3820.
