Have a Home Fit for a Prince?

This pooch doesn't need the 'royal treatment'—just plenty of love and some training.

Prince is an energetic youngster, about 1-2 years old, and not too big at approximately 40 pounds. He is very friendly (although he can be cautious at first until he gets to know you), and loves belly rubs and to give kisses.

Our volunteers just love him! They report he is learning to listen to his person and respond to correction, that he knows "sit" and will wait for release. His leash manners have improved greatly and they describe him as "sweet."

Prince needs someone who is an experienced dog owner and has the time and energy to continue his training and bring out the best in this really nice boy. He would do well with an active family with older children (10+ years) who know how to interact with a high-energy dog. Prince would do best in a home with no other dogs.

You don’t have to give this Prince the royal treatment—just give him some training, plenty of exercise and fun games, and, of course, love! Our shelter is overcrowded and Prince needs to find a home soon.

Prince is a member of our Pooch With Perks Program. When you adopt Prince, you will receive a Doggie Goodie Bag donated by the Friends of Burlington County Animal Shelter. When contacting the shelter at 609-265-5073, please give them Prince's ID number, D-53092.
