Alleged Bank Robber Involved in 3 Heists in Burlington County

Police in Delran, Willingboro and Mount Laurel are all hunting the same man, authorities said.

Authorities are asking for the public's help in trying to identify a man who they say was involved in three recent bank robberies in Burlington County.

The alleged robber—possibly part of a team, authorities said—struck in Delran, Mount Laurel and Willingboro in the first two weeks of November, and tellers all gave a similar description of the man.

In all three incidents, witnesses described him as a black man with a light-to-medium complexion, between 5 feet, 10 inches and 6 feet, 1 inch tall, in his mid-to-late 30s, authorities said.

He struck Roma Bank in Delran and Beneficial Bank in Mount Laurel about an hour apart on Nov. 8, authorities said, passing a note claiming he had a gun and demanding cash in Delran, and pulling a handgun and demanding cash in Mount Laurel.

He was wearing a black jacket and a flat-brimmed baseball cap with a purple logo in the Delran robbery, which happened around 5:20 p.m., authorities said, but wore a ski mask, a black sweater and a blue jacket in Mount Laurel. A teller in Mount Laurel said the robber spoke with a Hispanic accent, police said.

A week later, wearing a white T-shirt and black sweatpants, he hit the TD Bank on Levitt Parkway in Willingboro, authorities said, once again passing a note claiming he had a gun and demanding cash.

No one was hurt in any of the incidents, and authorities did not say how much cash the alleged robber was able to get in any of the robberies.

The cases are all under joint investigation by Delran, Mount Laurel and Willingboro Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Roma Bank and the FBI have posted a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction. Anyone with information about the alleged robber or the incidents is asked to call Burlington County Central Communications at 609-267-8300.
