Alleged Drunken Driver Hits Parked Cars, Tree

A Cinnaminson man allegedly drove drunk Thursday night, hitting parked cars and finally a tree on the lawn of a residence, according to .

Thomas M. McDermott Jr. 25, of the 100 block of Monticello Drive, was arrested and charged with DWI. He also faces additional controlled dangerous substance charges because officers found pills in his car, according to police.

A hit-and-run accident was reported on Wayne Drive and moments later, a report came in of a car hitting a tree on Georgian Court, according to reports.

Police found McDermott at the scene, and in plain view in the car, was a bottle of pills later determined to be Clonazepam.

McDermott was charged with DWI, DWI in a school zone, possession of CDS and possession with intent to sell.

He was released pending a court disposition.
