Four men armed with handguns burst into a Cinnaminson home Thursday afternoon, assaulted the occupants—including two toddlers—and fled after ransacking the home, police said.

According to Cinnaminson Police, four men forced their way into the house on the 900 block of Union Landing Road around 3 p.m. armed with handguns and radios. Once inside, they assaulted the occupants—a 32-year-old woman and two children under the age of 4—and tied them up. The woman was also pistol-whipped, police said.

The burglars ransacked the house, then fled in a dark SUV with tinted windows.

The suspects are described as black, three of them being approximately 6 feet tall and heavyset, and the fourth approximately 5 feet 9 inches with a medium build. One of the suspects had a long beard, police said. Another was wearing an orange shirt, and one was wearing a white rubber bracelet.

The victims suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene.

Cinnaminson Police are asking anyone with information to call 856-829-6667, ext. 2041, or to report information anonymously by calling the We Tip hotline at 1-800-78-CRIME.

Wow!! I am glad they were ok.

David, or those ######## could have found it and shot her. Besides, if she shot them Reverend Al would be organizing a national protest.

If she shot them the media would have labeled her a racist

Does anyone know the family? I hope they can heal from this and feel safe in their home again. Scary!
Rufflizzy August 09, 2013 at 09:56 AM
The family appeared to be ok yesterday. No one was hospitalized. I'm sure they were traumatized. Very scary.

Thanks for responding.Good to know that the family is physically ok. I agree with you about being traumatized. Sad.

In our world today, everyone has to be watching out for people who case houses and know who's there and who's not...Our world is not safe anymore, sorry to hear that they got hurt but its our world today....My guess they came from Camden...
JustALocalGuy August 09, 2013 at 11:35 AM
Don't be hysterical, letspaymoretaxes. The attackers already had guns. They don't need to take the homeowner's gun.
JustALocalGuy August 09, 2013 at 11:38 AM
John - why do you think they came from Camden? My guess is that whoever targeted this house already had a good expectation of what they would find inside. That makes me think it's local. Otherwise, why launch such an organized attack? They used radios to communicate with each other. This does not sound like your typical opportunistic smash & grab situation.
Rufflizzy August 09, 2013 at 01:21 PM
Unfortunately, not all the information regarding the attack were disclosed. Detectives indicated that it was calculated and based on what they KNEW they would find in the house. It was not random.
JustALocalGuy August 09, 2013 at 01:25 PM
Exactly. It's obvious that this was a planned, orchestrated attack, even if you just use common sense and read between the lines.

I was wondering if due to legality the news couldn’t say certain things. I thought there might be more to the case than was being disclosed. It seems like a lot of effort and organization for a house that may or may not be a good target. In this economy a lot of people aren’t buying luxury goods, but are instead selling some off to stay afloat.

States, come to my home for a planned robbery and I'll exercise my 2nd amendment rights and enjoy every second of it. The Voice is for the people!

@Rimkunas - the police most likely just didn't release that information to the press at first. Once that information is released, nothing short of a drone strike can prevent the press from publishing the information.
