The Cinnaminson burglaries all occurred between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. in empty homes.

“We think they are all related,” Covert said. “But, we’re really not sure. It appears that however these people are doing this, are sitting out in a car and waiting for people to leave the house. Houses are being targeted as soon as they leave.”

Covert also said to be aware of strangers knocking on doors thinking no one is home. Then, when someone answers the door, they make up excuses as to why they are knocking.

Covert is asking that all residents make sure to keep all doors and windows locked and use alarm systems if available. And, if residents see a suspicious car or persons, call the police department right away.

“That’s how we’re going to find these people,” said Covert.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the Criminal Investigations Bureau at 856-829-6667, option 7.
