The Burlington County Sheriff’s Department in conjunction with the Delanco Township Police Department will hold its annual Senior Citizens Police Academy on six consecutive Thursdays beginning Oct. 4 and running through Nov. 8.
The program, which focuses on safety issues important to seniors, is free of charge. Those interested in attending should call the Sheriff’s Community Services Unit at 609-265-3788.
“Senior citizens will gain a wealth of information and knowledge on how they can better protect themselves from violence or accidents, not to mention consumer fraud,” said Sheriff Jean Stanfield. “Folks will get to see some of the County’s law enforcement and public safety resources.”
