are still investigating a few incidents that happened at the last week including car break-ins and what could be a gang fight.

However the police activity at this year’s carnival is no different than in previous years, said Lt. Tim Young.

Cinnaminson police officers were on duty every night at the carnival, Young said, and this year, officers on bicycles were added for more efficient patrolling.

Surrounding towns’ officers were also on duty for extra patrolling.

Young said a few burglaries to cars were reported not only in the church’s parking lot but also at Wood Park where there is overflow carnival parking.

Carnival ticket sales money was stolen from a car parked at St. Charles. The amount of money stolen was not released.

“We’re still investigating that,” Young said.

On Wednesday, Young said a victim was hit in the back of the head with brass knuckles. It’s believed the accused were members of a local street gang.

“But I’m not sure where they are based out of,” Young said.

The victim was treated and released.

On Thursday, an arrest was made for trespassing. Young said someone who was kicked out of the carnival Monday came back.

“He was trying to start fights the whole time,” he said.

On Friday, an arrest was made to someone who was forging ride tickets.

Saturday night saw the most activity at the carnival all week, as there were “multiple fights,” Young said. There were four arrests, including one for aggravated assault against a law enforcement officer.

That investigation is still ongoing.
