An uncooperative Cinnaminson man assaulted a Riverton police officer during a traffic stop last month, according to a report.
Police said the officer stopped Christian Henry, who was driving his motorcycle in the area of Cedar Street, for motor vehicle violations on Sept. 9. Henry allegedly refused to provide his identification or the vehicle’s information.
After several unsuccessful attempts to get Henry to cooperate, the officer informed Henry was being placed under arrest, police said. While he was being handcuffed, Henry attacked the officer, pushed away and resisted arrest.
He was eventually taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault on police, resisting arrest, obstruction and disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $40,000 and Henry was lodged in Burlington County Jail. His motorcycle was subsequently impounded.Information provided by Riverton Police. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
