Shoplifting Arrest

An Ocean County woman tried to steal several pints of ice cream by hiding them in her pants before she was detained by loss prevention at in Cinnaminson.

Police arrested Nicole R. Bragg, 22, of Tuckerton, on Monday on a shoplifting charge. Bragg attempted to steal $49 worth of merchandise from the grocery store, including several pints of ice cream.

She was turned over to the where she was processed and released pending a court hearing.

Fugitive Arrest

A Montrose, PA, woman was arrested on a charge for being a fugitive from justice after she created a disturbance at the Thursday, police said.

Tracey L. Ramsey, 29, has an original charge against her in her hometown. She fled prior to police arrival, but was found shortly after at the intersection of Route 130 and Cinnaminson Avenue.

Ramsey was brought to the station, processed and remanded to Burlington County Jail on $10,000 bail pending extradition back to Pennsylvania.

Soliciting/Warrant Arrest

Police arrested a Cinnaminson man on a charge of soliciting without a permit after he was found going door-to-door asking for donations.

Bryan C. Hawthorne, 25, of the 3100 block of Georgetown Road, was found knocking on doors attempting to solicit donations for "the troops." Police were called to the Westfield Leas development and said Hawthorne was wearing a full regulation U.S. Army uniform at the time. However, the subject had been discharged from the Army over two years ago and was not affiliated or associated with any charity group, police said.

Police also found he had an active Cinnaminson warrant with a $1,000 bail.

He was brought to the station, cited under the local ordinance and released after posting $1,000 bail on the warrant. He is now pending a court appearance.
