Cinnaminson Woman Killed in Camden

Jacquelin Flowers died Saturday night, authorities said.

A Cinnaminson woman was shot to death in Camden late Saturday night, authorities said. 

Jacquelin Flowers, 29, was shot multiple times shortly after 11 p.m. in the 400 block of Spruce Street, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office. She was taken to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where she was pronounced dead at 11:42 p.m.

Subsequent to the homicide, a Camden police officer suffered injuries near the scene of the killing. The officer was attempting to break up a fight at 5th and Spruce streets when he had his police baton stolen, according to the prosecutor's office. He suffered injuries to his hand in the process of struggling with this person.

Jose Conseco, 25, of Camden, was arrested in that incident and charged with resisting arrest and improper behavior, but the police baton was not recovered. Conseco was held in the Camden County Jail on $15,000 bail.
