A Clayton man has been charged in connection with an August burglary in Cinnaminson, police announced Wednesday morning.

Thomas O. Tanner III, 23, was charged with burglary and theft in the Aug. 5, 2013 burglary of a residence on Union Landing Road.

The burglary was reported just before 4:30 on Aug. 5 when a resident reported that someone had broken into her house and stolen several items. Police collected DNA samples from the scene.

On Dec. 9, data collected seemed to indicate the DNA matched that of Tanner, who was already in custody at the Albert C. Wagner Correctional Youth Facility in Bordentown on an unrelated charge. Cinnaminson Police obtained a warrant to collect a DNA sample from Tanner.

On March 19, the match was confirmed and on March 25, Tanner was charged.

Bail was set at $50,000. Tanner remains in custody pending court.

I have to agree with both of you. When the story first broke, based on articles in Ohio, I too believe it was drug related. And I also believe, this woman's killer needs to be caught and jailed. Her life had value to her loved ones and family; she and they deserve justice. We place too little value on human life these days especially when the victims aren't from our "world".

Patrick, my family has no drug dealing worries to concern ourselves with. Did I blame anyone as in your lame comparison to rape victims? Of course not., I just told you what happened to her. I never said the killer does not have to be caught OR that she deserved it, did I?

Speaking of murders, how is the weed-killing going Patrick?
