Former Moorestown Cop's Sex Assault Trial Opens Today
Officials say a sexual assault involving Robert Melia Jr. and co-defendant Heather Lewis was videotaped.
The trial of former Moorestown police officer Robert Melia Jr. and co-defendant and former girlfriend Heather Lewis started today in Superior Court, reports Phillyburbs.com.
In 2009, police found videos that allegedly showed Melia Jr. having sex with five cows. A judge dismissed animal cruelty charges in 2010.
Melia is also accused of molesting three children in his home on Cottage Avenue in Moorestown.
