Intoxicated Woman Curses at, Urinates in Front of Cop: Police

Palmyra Police say the Camden woman was so intoxicated she 'had no idea where she even was.'

When you gotta go, you gotta go—even when it’s in front of the police, apparently.

A Palmyra Police officer was speaking to a man and woman on West Henry Street late Monday night when the woman—who was highly intoxicated, police said—began yelling obscenities at the officer, according to a report. The man told the officer he had seen the woman on the Light Rail and could tell she wasn’t incapable of getting home safely, so he was trying to help her find her way home.

However, the woman—Christine Pierce, 34, of Camden—was so intoxicated she had no idea where she even was when the officer stopped the pair, police said.

The man was sent on his way after being questioned, but Pierce—who was still acting disorderly, including urinating several times while police were dealing with her—was kept at the scene, police said. Pierce continued to be uncooperative and an ambulance was called to take her to the hospital due to her level of intoxication.

Pierce was charged with disorderly conduct and released on a summons, into the custody of the emergency squad for transport to the hospital. She was also cited for urinating in public.
