Updated: Palmyra HS Evacuated After Bomb Threat, Deemed Safe

Officials said all students are safe and will be dismissed this afternoon.

Palmyra Police have deemed the high school safe and the school has been reopened.

After a K-9 search of the building, Palmyra police detectives are gathering evidence for investigation, officials said.

Updated 1 p.m.: Palmyra Police are continuing to investigate a bomb threat at Palmyra High School, officials announced.

Police were dispatched to the high school shortly after noon today. Residents should stay out the area of the high school until further notice. Police will be closing streets around Palmyra until approximately 2:30 p.m.

Palmyra High School was evacuated this morning, according to some parents and school officials.

According to one school official, a threat was made against the high school prompting the evacuation. Palmyra police are on the scene.

All students are safe at the Delaware Avenue School, officials said. Students will be dismissed home by grade level shortly after 1 p.m.

Parents are currently being notified.
