Palmyra Man Charged in Series of Thefts: Police

Twenty-year-old Steven Kantor turned himself in and was lodged in Burlington County Jail, according to Palmyra Police.

A 20-year-old Palmyra man turned himself in earlier this month after police implicated him in a series of thefts, according to a report.

The first incident involved the theft of a laptop from a borough home on Aug. 22, in which the possible suspect was related to the victim, according to Palmyra Police.

Police investigated a second theft at a borough home on Nov. 2, in which the resident reported a check had been stolen from her checkbook. Her name was forged and the subject cashed the check, police said. Detectives soon determined the check was forged and cashed by the same person responsible for the laptop theft.

And on Nov. 11, police took a report of a burglary in which money and a Nook tablet were stolen, according to the report. Detective identified a suspect within days of the burglary—the same individual responsible for the Nov. 2 and Aug. 22 thefts

Complaints were signed on all three of the above cases and Steven Kantor, 20, of Palmyra, ultimately turned himself in on the outstanding warrants, police said.
