A 30-year-old Palmyra man is in Burlington County Jail after he ran from police and was found with two knives over the weekend.

On Saturday afternoon, Palmyra Police responded to call about a domestic violence situation on Broad St. The male suspect, identified as Marshall McAllister of Palmyra, saw the police arrive on the scene and took off. He ran through numerous back yards along Morgan Ave. as police chased him on foot. He was eventually caught and apprehended on the 600 block of Morgan Ave.

After he was caught, police found two knives in McAllister’s possession. He was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, resisting arrest and obstruction of justice.

This is not the first time McAllister has been in trouble with the law. He also had $13,000 worth of outstanding warrants in the towns of Palmyra, Mt. Holly and Wrightstown. McAllister was not able to post the full $15,000 bail and remains in the Burlington County Jail, pending a court date.
