Bike thefts continue to occur in the borough.

The following arrest information was supplied by the Palmyra Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction. The information is from incidents from July 22 to July 29.

July 22, 10:43 p.m.

Officers were dispatched to Garfield Avenue on a report of criminal mischief to a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers met with the victim, who said someone smashed out his driver’s side window, struck his windshield twice with a blunt object and punctured his tailgate. Total damages were around $800. Police are looking for witnesses. Contact the police department at 856-829-0198 with any information.

July 22, 9:18 a.m.

Police were called to investigate a burglary and vandalism to a business on Broad Street. Upon arrival, the victim showed officers where the unknown suspects broke out a window and removed bars to gain access to the building. Once inside they were able to break into a safe full of car keys, but nothing appeared to have been taken. Total vandalism damages are around $500.

July 23, 4:55 a.m.

Officers were dispatched to a bicycle theft on Delaware Avenue. Upon arrival, the victim told police that sometime overnight, someone entered his fenced yard and took a blue Mongoose mountain bike from the yard. The bike was valued at $100. Police continue to ask for the public’s help in keeping an eye out for any suspicious activity related to bicycles.
