Pemberton Woman Allegedly Killed by Her Son Died of Blunt Trauma

Herbert Rowlette is accused of killing his 71-year-old mother on Sunday. Blunt trauma was the cause of death, according to the Burlington County Times.

A Pemberton woman who was allegedly murdered by her son died due to "compression of the neck and chest and blunt trauma," the Burlington County Times reports.

The body of Maryanne Rowlette, 71, was found in her living room on Sunday after her son reported a homicide. No one else was home at the time of the incident, and Herbert Rowlette, 44, was eventually charged with a single count of murder.

An autopsy conducted Monday also determined the manner of death was homicide, according to the report.
