Police: City Man Found with Loaded Gun at Motel

The Philadelphia man had a warrant on a domestic violence charge.

arrested a Philadelphia man Sunday on a domestic violence warrant from Upper Darby, PA, and also found a loaded gun at the motel where he was staying.

Ricardo Z. Norton Jr., 26, of the 2400 block of North 31st St. in Philadelphia, was arrested in his room at the .

Officer Kevin Bohn was operating a patrol car equipped with license-plate reader technology. It read the plates on Norton Jr.'s parked car. Bohn verified the warrant and arrested Norton in his room.

A loaded .40-caliber Smith & Wesson handgun loaded with 16 hollow-point bullets was found.

Norton was brought to the station and charged with being a fugitive from justice, possession of a handgun and possession of hollow-point ammunition.

He was remanded to Burlington County Jail on $4,500 full cash bail.
