Police: Man Asked Hotel Clerk to Keep His Hypodermic Needle Safe

The Philadelphia man was arrested twice in four hours.

Cinnaminson Police said a Philadelphia man, who left a hypodermic needle at the front desk of a hotel in town for "safekeeping," was arrested twice in the same day early Friday morning on multiple charges.

Police had been dispatched around 5:05 a.m. to the Sleep Inn for a disturbance call and arrested Anthony Burgos on charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of paraphernalia. Burgos, 30, of the 4000 block of North 3rd Street, allegedly left the needle with the hotel's clerk for "safekeeping."

He was processed and released.

About four hours later, police were again called for a disturbance. Burgos was found in the parking lot. He ignored officers' commands, entered his car and sped away. Police said he threw his arrest paperwork out the window.

Burgos made an illegal U-turn at Branch Pike and entered the jughandle the wrong way. Police said he drove over the grass median only to return to the Sleep Inn parking lot to try to pick up his girlfriend, 19-year-old Venessa Santiago.

Both were arrested. Santiago, of the 4000 block of North Second Street in Philadelphia, was charged with obstruction. She was released.

Burgos was charged with harassment, terroristic threats and numerous motor vehicle offenses. His bail was set at $12,500.

Burgos became extremely combative while being processed, police said. Three counts of aggravated assault are pending.

Burgos was lodged in Burlington County Jail.

I was thinking the same thing Sarah….what websites are Ask A Question frequenting that he sees prostitutes in Cinnaminson motel rooms? I thought the Sleep Inn was one of the nicer ones but I guess not huh? I do agree it would be nice if they could all go somewhere else.

Just because Sarah and Aimee are not too familiar with any websites other than patch doesn't mean you need to be on the attack. I am a family man and don't frequent those websites, but if you are doing a search for items for sale and enter "Cinnaminson", ALL items for sale pop up !! Don't be judgmental and attack people without knowing the facts which seems to be the norm on Patch. You should be happy I support moving these motels because you both don't sound too adventurous yourselves ....

Lighten up dude. It was funny intentionally or not.

The motels are a disgrace. They should all be closed down. Our town doesn't need the crime and drugs that they bring.
