About four hours later, police were again called for a disturbance. Burgos was found in the parking lot. He ignored officers' commands, entered his car and sped away. Police said he threw his arrest paperwork out the window.

Burgos made an illegal U-turn at Branch Pike and entered the jughandle the wrong way. Police said he drove over the grass median only to return to the Sleep Inn parking lot to try to pick up his girlfriend, 19-year-old Venessa Santiago.
