Police Rescue Palmyra Man From Delaware River

He was rescued by a Philadelphia Police Department Marine Unit. He was hospitalized in New Jersey.

Police rescued a Palmyra man from the Delaware River on Thursday, the Burlington County Times reports.

The man, whose age and identity were not released, didn't jump into the river, but he did refuse assistance at first, according to the report. It is unknown why he went into the river.

He was rescued by a Philadelphia Police Department Marine Unit. Police and fire personnel from Cinnaminson and Palmyra were also on the scene, according to the report.

He was hospitalized in New Jersey. No charges were filed against the man, according to the report.
