Police Said Cinnaminson Jewelers Violated Secondhand Sales Laws

The purchase of secondhand jewelry was undocumented, police said.

have been investigating complaints in reference to Golden Jewelers, located in Suite H at 141 Route 130 South, for purchasing undocumented secondhand jewelry. The items could possibly be proceeds from burglaries or thefts, police said.

Asael Gola and Yaniv Gola purchased gold jewelry from an undercover police officer and did not document the sale as required. Police investigated. 

Police officers arrived at the store and pretended to be investigating a lead on a burglary. When officers showed them a picture of the "stolen" jewelry the two had purchased from an undercover officer, they denied purchasing it.

Both were charged with violations of law regarding secondhand jewelry, local ordinance violations and tampering with evidence.

They were brought to the station, processed and released pending court.
