Police: Three Arrested for Shoplifting From ShopRite, Walmart

arrested three for shoplifting at two different township stores just before Christmas.

Two women were stopped by loss prevention officers at Dec. 24 after an attempt to leave the store with more than $160 worth of merchandise, police said.

Michelle L. Gethers, 34, of East Washington Street in Riverside, and Catherine S. Mitchell, 29, of Garden Street in Mt. Holly, were brought to the station, processed and released pending court. Each was charged with shoplifting.

On Dec. 23, a Philadelphia man was seen walking out of with a bottle of wine he did not pay for, police said.

William Dawson, 23, of East Flora Street, was stopped by loss prevention officers. He was charged with shoplifting. Police processed and released Dawson pending court.
