Police: Two Men Stole Metal in East Riverton

A witness saw the suspects stealing metal from a yacht club near the river.

were dispatched to North Randolph Street in the township's East Riverton section Wedneday morning for a reported burglary.

Two men—one from Delran—were arrested and charged with burglary and theft. 

A witness reported seeing two men enter the Royal Delaware Yacht Club property, remove metal from one of the buildings and put it in a truck. The witness said the men them climbed a fence at an adjacent building and removed metal from that property as well.

The men allegedly left the area in a blue GMC pickup truck.

Police stopped the vehicle on Broad Street and arrested Jeffrey Loften, 52, of the 500 block of Line Street in Camden, and Kevin Green, 51, of the 3000 block of Route 130 in Delran.

Both men were charged with burglary and theft and were lodged in Burlington County Jail.
