State Police Still Trying to Identify Body

The decomposed body of a woman was found Sunday along the banks of the Delaware River.

An autopsy on a woman's body that of the Delaware River was inconclusive, state police said Tuesday. 

"There's no obvious cause of death," said Sgt. Stephen Jones, a state police spokesman.  The autopsy was conducted late Monday. 

Investigators are trying to use fingerprint records to identify the woman, Jones said.

A man walking his dog spotted the decomposed body around 9:15 a.m. Sunday near Inman Street, said Sgt. Stephen Jones, a state police spokesman. 

Cinnaminson police responded, and called State Police to assist in the investigation.

Troopers from the Burlington Marine Station, Crime Scene Investigation, the Missing Persons Unit and Major Crimes detectives are investigating.
