Teen Charged in Unsolved Murder of Riverside Man

Authorities say Michael Haller was shot multiple times last October in a botched robbery.

A 16-year-old from Camden has been charged with shooting a Riverside man to death in a botched robbery attempt last fall, authorities.

According to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office, the juvenile shot 40-year-old Michael Haller multiple times in a grassy area near the 600 block of Elm Street in Camden on Oct. 16, 2012. Police found Haller dead later that night. Authorities believe the shooting stemmed from a robbery attempt.

The juvenile, who was already in youth detention on an unrelated charge, was charged with murder Thursday.

Witnesses in the case are eligible to receive a $1,000 reward should the teenager be convicted or plead guilty.
