Wanted Women Arrested Outside Wawa: Police

Palmyra Police say the women were begging outside the store when they were caught.

Two wanted woman were arrested after they were allegedly caught begging outside Wawa by Palmyra Police, according to a report.

Police said they responded to the Wawa parking lot just before noon Saturday for a report of a woman begging for money. The woman told police she had been begging for cigarettes, not money. When officers investigated further, they discovered the woman—later identified as Jill Grover, 42, of Lumberton—was wanted on three warrants out of Westampton, Camden and Cherry Hill, totaling $4,800, according to the report. Upon searching Grover, officers also found she was in possession of drug paraphernalia used to smoke crack.

Grover was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and lodged in Burlington County Jail on the outstanding warrants.

While police were dealing with Grover, a passerby informed them another woman had been begging for money with Grover and pointed the woman out. Officers confronted her and discovered she, too, was wanted on multiple warrants: one out of Burlington City, two out of Trenton, and two out of Atlantic City, totaling $2,500, according to the report.

Tamika Wilson, 35, of Trenton, was arrested on the outstanding warrants and turned over to Burlington City Police. She was also lodged in Burlington County Jail.
