Wedding Guest Assaulted in Bathroom by Three Women, Say Police

The victim, a wedding guest at the Merion, said she was followed.

Somebody's wedding day didn't end so joyfully as three women allegedly assaulted a fourth woman in the bathroom during a wedding reception at over the weekend, police said.

Around 11:30 p.m., Friday, July 13, were dispatched to the Route 130 facility to find the three women involved left prior to their arrival.

The victim, Catherine Waterfield, had called police and said she was followed into the bathroom during the reception of the wedding she was attending. She said three women assaulted her. Waterfield was treated at a local hospital for minor injuries and released.

Police later arrested Nicole Julia, 24, Alexis Julia, 19, both of the unit block of Sylvan Court, Laurel Springs, and Nicolette Rutter, 18, of the unit block of Argyle Avenue, Blackwood.

All three women were charged with aggravated assault. All three posted bail and were released pending court.
