Palmyra Police say a Cherry Hill man stole a friend's car when he was only supposed to be borrowing it.

A 60-year-old man is in prison after stealing a friend’s car he was only supposed to be borrowing, Palmyra Police said.

A borough woman reported to police at the end of December that she had let a friend borrow her 2008 Jeep Liberty more than a week prior and had not seen or heard from the friend since. She said she had tried several times to contact the friend, without success, according to police, and wished to pursue complaints against said friend for not returning her vehicle.

Police entered the Jeep into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) as being stolen. The accused—Setrak Onik Kaloian, 60, of Cherry Hill—was ultimately located in North Jersey still driving the victim’s car, police said.
