Building Dedication, Concert Tonight

The bathroom and concession stand at Wood Park will open during a dedication ceremony tonight.

If the weather cooperates, will be busy tonight as the recently put in place will be officially open and dedicated.

Aesthetic work surrounding the structure——is now finished, according to Deputy Mayor Don Brauckmann, also the director of parks and recreation.

“We want to get that building open,” Brauckmann said.

The building was put into place last month and now, grass has been planted, a fence has been put up, and trees, bushes and flowers have been put in. Brauckmann said a park bench will be there eventually and a light pole needs to be moved by PSEG.

Irrigation work was also done, as well as a new, concrete walkway.

Burlington County Freeholders Mary Anne Reinhart and Mary Ann O’Brien are scheduled to appear at the dedication, scheduled for 6:30 p.m. The grant Cinnaminson received for the building was from county freeholders.

After the dedication ceremony, To The Max, known as “The Ultimate Dance Band,” will perform reggae, r&b, ’70s and ’80s classic rock and more as part of the township's summer concert series. To The Max, from Salem County, performs regularly at Café Madison in Riverside.

If rain is a factor, the building dedication will be rescheduled and the band will perform at the . However, the bathrooms will open this evening regardless.

"Rain or shine, I hope people come out to see what’s going on at the park and be involved in the community," Brauckmann said.
