Cinnaminson Committee Proposes Multiple Vendors in Towing Ordinance

Rather than one vendor handling all towing and storage, the township found it might be cheaper to set the price in township ordinance and use multiple vendors.

Cinnaminson Township Committee is taking a different approach to fees for police-related towing and car storage.

Rather than one vendor handling towing throughout the township, the committee proposes using a list of vendors who would operate under a pricing structure set by the township, the Cinnaminson Sun reports.

Township Administrator Michael P. King explained that in doing research, he discovered bids that came in for towing and storage were much higher than those set by the township, according to the report. This would also make it easier for the township to cut ties with a provider, according to the report.
