Freeholders Reorganize Monday

New Freeholder Leah Arter, of Moorestown, will be sworn in during the reorganization meeting.

Burlington County freeholders will hold their annual reorganization meeting at noon on Monday, Jan. 2, in courtroom #1 on the third floor of the County Administration Building at 49 Rancocas Road, Mount Holly.

While reorganization is traditionally held on the first day of the new year, the rules of the board hold that reorganization be held the following day when Jan. 1 falls on a Sunday.

The agenda will include the swearing in of two new freeholders, Leah Arter of Moorestown and Joseph Howarth of Evesham, as well as the swearing in of George Kotch to a new term as county surrogate.

The meeting is being held in the County Administration Building because of ongoing construction work in the Olde Historic Courthouse.
