Runyan, Allen Get Seussical with St. Charles Students

Rep. Jon Runyan (R-NJ) and state Sen. Diane Allen (R-7) visit Cinnaminson's St. Charles Borromeo School to celebrate Read Across America.

Josephine Kulbick, ’s library/computer teacher, submitted the following information and pictures to Cinnaminson Patch on the school’s Read Across America celebration Friday:

It was a wonderful day for the students. We wanted to make sure the focus was on reading for the children, so we were able to break the school into a few smaller groups for our honored guests.

Cinnaminson Committeeman Anthony Minniti read to our pre-K classes and then to first grade and kindergarten.

State Sen. Diane Allen read The Lorax to grades 2-3-4 in our school library. She answered the children's questions and was very cordial and personable. She encouraged the children to read and told them that was how she learned about so many places in the world. The children enjoyed her visit and were very excited to meet her.

Finally, Congressman Jon Runyan read Oh, the Places You'll Go! to grades 6-7-8. He stressed the importance of reading and setting goals. We were very proud of the students as they listened intently to his reading and asked him about his own goals and achievements.
