Slates Set for Cinnaminson Committee, BOE

The races for township committee and board of education are set after Tuesday's primary.

There were few surprises in Tuesday's primary, particularly in the township committee race, where both candidates were running unopposed on their party's tickets.

For the Republicans, , secured the nomination with 693 votes (there were three "personal choice" votes).

On the Democratic ballot, 25-year-old Matthew Paterno earned his party's nomination with 262 votes (with one "personal choice" vote cast).

Burlington County Freeholder

Cinnaminson's Joe Donnelly soundly defeated challenger Stephen Silver (12,057 to 2,011) for the Republican nomination, while unopposed Reva Foster earned the Democratic nomination with 9,011 votes.

Sheriff

Incumbent Jean Stanfield fended off William Moore III for the Republican nomination, with 12,009 votes to Moore's 2,212. Democrat James Kostopolis ran unopposed and secured his party's nomination with 9,108 votes.

County Clerk

Incumbent Timothy Tyler (R) and Nancy Youngkin (D) earned their parties' nominations, with 13,027 and 9,128 votes, respectively.

Three candidates will also run for three vacancies on the Cinnaminson Board of Education this fall: incumbents Jean Cohen and Pamela Crepps, along withformer board member Harry Shea.

Shea was selected by the board to fill the vacancy left by Linda DiMassimo, who resigned her seat in April. Shea has to run in the fall to hold onto the seat.
