Township Solicits Veterans

Deputy Mayor wants to start a veterans committee in town.

Deputy Mayor Donald Brauckmann is soliciting local veterans to be part of a committee in town that's available for township events such as Veterans Day ceremonies.

Cinnaminson used to have a veterans committee and Brauckmann wants to start it back up again to keep a group available in town.

“We want a local resource who can keep in touch with one another,” he said, “when we have events that require the attendance of our veterans.”

Every year, the township holds either a Memorial Day or a Veterans Day wreath-laying ceremony; the school district performs the other dedication. There's a memorial in front of the municipal building on Riverton Road.

Brauckmann is looking for any veterans, but older veterans would especially be helpful.

Brauckmann, a former Marine, said he knows what it’s like for recent veterans; they aren’t really thinking about gathering as a group just yet.

Any Cinnaminson veterans interested in joining the committee should contact Brauckmann at dbrauckmann@cinnaminsonnj.org.
