CHS Clubs Donate Items to Sandy Victims

Water, baby items and more were donated to Jersey shore residents affected by the hurricane.

The Cinnaminson High School Friends of Rachel Club conducted a relief effort at the school to donate much-needed supplies to Hurricane Sandy victims.

The idea came from junior Dalton Brauckmann and was carried out with the help of the Friends of Rachel Club as well as student council members.

"I wanted to do something after watching what the hurricane did to the Jersey shore so I figured this to be an appropriate effort for the Friends of Rachel Club as an act of kindness," Brauckmann said.

An SUV was filled with cases of water, diapers, baby wipes, baby food, formula, and toiletries. The CHS student council also donated a $250 check which will be given to The Hurricane Sandy NJ Relief Fund. The items were taken Jersey shore for delivery.
