Cinnaminson High School Arts Program Needs Votes in National Contest

The program is one of 50 semifinalists seeking the $50,000 grand prize.

Cinnaminson High School is among the final 50 schools in a national shoe design contest, and it seeks the public’s help in obtaining the $50,000.

The school’s art classes entered the Vans Shoe Design contest, a contest that included schools across the country.

Cinnaminson is the only school in the state to advance to the semifinals in the Northeast division.

Participating schools designed four pairs of shoes (106, Sk8-Hi, Slip On and Authentic) with one four themes in mind: action sports, music, art and local flavor.

The public voting portion of the contest lasts through May 12.

Five finalists will travel to New York the second week of June to compete for a $50,000 grand prize, to be dedicated to the school’s art program. The runners up will each receive $4,000 for their programs.
