The participants were also given a tour of the administrative offices by Superintendent Salvatore Illuzzi, assistant superintendent Terry Luxenberg, and business administrator Thomas Egan. Following the tour, the students rehearsed their speaking roles for the board meeting.
In the evening, the students returned to the middle school to put their practice into action and actually run the board of education meeting. Student Senate President Max Adams acted as Board of Education President Jean Cohen and led the meeting. Each participant had a speaking role and did an excellent job representing the members of the board of education.
