Traveling Mercies with Aldo Magazzeni

Achieving Human Equality: Compassion, Love and Sharing of Life Experiences - Aldo Magazzeni had an early brush with poverty. He was born in a poor Italian mountain town in the Abruzzo region of central Italy in a house with no running water and dirt floors. Now a successful businessman, he and his two partners in a Lumberton manufacturing company have become champions of those in need.  Aldo Magazzeni is the founder of Traveling Mercies, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping others, while creating a vehicle to remove barriers between cultures so that individuals can share their strengths, assets and blessings with each other. Traveling Mercies is committed to meeting the diverse needs of those suffering throughout the world.  Since 1998, Aldo has traveled to, and worked with, communities in Italy, Jamaica, Haiti, Mexico, South America, Bhutan, Nepal, Afghanistan, Kenya, and Ethiopia.  He will share with us his stories and photographs of the places, the people and the work he has experienced during his travels.
