Cinnaminson Business Plans to 'Spruce Up' Rte. 130 Building

Anne and Jerry Caruso, owners of Networks Plus, recently purchased the building at the Highland Avenue jughandle—AKA the Spain building—and are planning improvements.

After 10 years as renters, the owners of Networks Plus in Cinnaminson have purchased the office building at the Highland Avenue jughandle—known to locals as the Spain building—and plan to spruce up the place.

Networks Plus president Anne Caruso said she and her husband, Jerry, along with a friend, partnered together recently to purchase the building at 504 Route 130 North, which is also home to Sen. Diane Allen’s office and two other businesses.

Caruso said Networks Plus’ very first office was located in the basement of the building informally known as the Spain building, named for local realtor Justin Spain, who owned it for many years.

Caruso and her husband, who live in Palmyra, have no plans to expand their own business—“We’re very happy where we are now,” she said—but do plan to make some renovations and improvements in order to attract tenants to fill vacant spaces on the second floor. She said there is enough space for four small offices, or one or two larger offices.

"We just need to spruce the place up a bit," she said.

According to Caruso, there will be some landscaping and paving improvements. But the first, and perhaps most obvious improvement to the building, will be the raising of new American and state flags out front. Caruso said the pole had to be restrung, and Allen is working on getting the flags.

“As local residents, as well as a small business, we feel we’re giving back to the community, in that, this isn’t going to be an eyesore,” Caruso explained.

Networks Plus recently updated the township’s website, which launched in September.
