Cinnaminson Football Team Runs Past Robbinsville

The boys' soccer team also picked up two victories this week.

The Cinnaminson High School football team jumped out to an early lead and never looked back in a 46-18 win over Robbinsville on Friday night, according to statistics posted on nj.com.

Martin McDonald and Brad Hawthorne led the way with two touchdowns each. McDonald scored on runs of 19 and 14 yards, while Hawthorne's touchdowns came on runs of 7 and 33 yards.

Nick Thevanayagam had the longest play of the night, a 98-yard run for a touchdown that put the Pirates up 17-6.

Cinnaminson also saw scores on a 63-yard touchdown pass from Andrew Aromando to Darron Daniel; a 27-yard field goal from Michael Jones; and a safety.

The Pirates improved to 2-1, and travel to Burlington City next Friday night for a 7 p.m. game.

Boys' soccer

Cinnaminson 2, Rancocas Valley 0: The Pirates handed Rancocas Valley its first loss of the season. Jake McDevitt scored a goal in each half. Steve Kalbach had an assist, and goalie Eric Baumhauer made nine saves.

Cinnaminson 2, Northern Burlington 1: Jake McDevitt and Mark Staudenmayer each scored for the Pirates, who broke a 1-1 halftime tie to pick up the win. Goalie Eric Baumhauer made 10 saves.

Girls' soccer

Rancocas Valley 3, Cinnaminson 2: Sophia Volpe scored for the Pirates. Brittany Runyen had an assist.

Kingsway 1, Cinnaminson 0: The Pirates held the Dragons scoreless in the first half. Kingsway's Gabrielle Bruno scored the game's lone goal in the second half, with an assist from Kerri Burns.

Cinnaminson goalie Marissa Dileo made three stops. Cinnaminson fell to 2-5.
