Cinnaminson Football Team Shuts Out Palmyra

Cinnaminson blanked Palmyra, 15-0.

The Cinnaminson High School football team blanked Palmyra, 15-0, on Friday night, according to nj.com.

Aaron Elly put the Pirates on the board with a 5-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. In the second quarter, Martin McDonald scored from 2 yards out.

Palmyra was able to keep Cinnaminson off the board the rest of the game, outside a safety the Cinnaminson defense forced in the fourth.

Cinnaminson improved to 5-1, and has a bye week before hosting Willingboro on Nov. 1, 7 p.m.

Boys' soccer

Cinnaminson 5, Rancocas Valley 0: Andrew DeBellis led the way with a pair of goals. Jake McDevitt had a goal and two assists, and David Gall had a goal and an assist. Tristan Scott slipped one by the Rancocas Valley keeper and Matt Haddon had an assist.

Goalie Eric Baumhauer made five saves.

Girls' soccer

Burlington Township 2, Cinnaminson 1: Lauren McHugh gave the Pirates a 1-0 halftime lead, but Burlington Township scored twice in the second half for the victory. Goalie Marissa DiLeo made six saves in the loss.
