Cinnaminson 6th Grade Boys Basketball Team Plays for League Title Sunday

Cinnaminson faces Seneca Sunday at Cherokee High School, 1:15 p.m.

The undefeated Cinnaminson sixth grade boys basketball team plays for a championship on Sunday.

Cinnaminson (22-0) will play Seneca for the South Jersey Basketball League championship Sunday at Cherokee High School, 1:15 p.m.

"Seneca is one of the few teams that can match our team's height inside and they can really shoot the ball effectively from beyond the 3-point line,” coach Chuck Nesemeier said in an email. “ We'll have our hands full trying to defend both of their team's strengths.”

Cinnaminson advanced to the final with a 53-32 win over Burlington Township.

Eric Sabato led the Pirates in scoring with 14 points, while Eric Gallagher and Aiden Nesemeier each had double-doubles.

Gallagher had 11 points and 14 rebounds, while Nesemeier had 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Seneca defeated Delran, 33-30, in the semifinals.

Prior to their semifinal victory, Cinnaminson downed Gloucester Township, 61-32, in the quarterfinals.

Sabato led the way with a triple-double consisting of 10 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists. Gallagher had 19 points, followed by Nesemeier with 12.

Jake Wilmer, CJ Gee, Tyre Lampkin, Danny Campbell, Justin Yansick, Tyler Conn, Justyn Cacesse, Rod Wright Jr., Kyle Robinson, and Ben DiGiacomo also contributed to the team's success in these playoff games.
